Jonathan, Ashley and their children are absolutely the most kind, caring and welcoming people you will ever meet. Their personalities are reflected in their Maltese puppies/adults. Having owned many purebred animals in the past, they are the absolute most welcoming breeders we have come across. They have kept in touch with us after we brought our precious baby home and are genuinely interested in her well being. We have friends for life now and will never hesitate to own another one of their Maltese babies.

I’ve waited a little while to post this because I wanted to make sure I was able to provide my feedback for the entire process. I’ve had dogs my entire life, and always multiple at a time. I’ve gotten dogs from breeders and shelters. While I’ve loved them all, the ones from shelters and most breeders all came with their own behavioral issues (anxiety, way too long to potty train, etc). I’ve realized over the years how important it was for our family to make sure we properly vetted the next breeder to ensure we didn’t run into these types issues with future dogs. This year when our 14 year old dog passed away. I knew I wanted another Maltese. I researched every breeder in NC, SC, and lower Virginia. Some were eliminated due to year plus waitlists, while many were eliminated due to not meeting the strict criteria we expected from our next breeder. Jonathan’s response time was absolutely incredible from our very first interaction all the way past us bringing Lily home. He provided us with the genetic testing for both the mother and father. He wasn’t afraid to show us his entire set up, and talk us through his daily process. I was shocked how many breeders failed to offer either of these to us, but it made it easy to eliminate them. Jonathan is also one of the most honest people I’ve ever met. Once we put the deposit down, he provided us with weekly updates and the cutest puppy pictures I’ve ever seen. I’ve never received this level of service from a breeder. He truly cares about each of their puppies. He still keeps in touch with us to see how she’s doing. Now on to Lily, once we got her it was very obvious how much love and attention she was provided in their care. She’s a wonderful mix of cuddly and playful. She has none of the behavioral issues I’ve experienced with most of my past dogs. She was the easiest small dog I’ve ever potty trained. She’s healthy and happy. Our family feels so blessed to have her in our pack. When the time comes for us to add another dog, we won’t look anywhere else except Mollie’s Maltese. If I could give 10 stars I would.

We decided to get a puppy girl from Mollie’s Maltese after almost a year of observing their social media. We wanted to be sure they are honest breeders.
What turned out to be exceeded our expectations! From email communication to our first video chat and up to this day we are in awe of what a wonderful people they are and how much love they are pouring into their work.
Coconut is so amazing there are just no words to describe it! Her joyous personality brightens our every moment and she’s a perfect addition to our family. I’ve never had a puppy like that! She’s behaving so good, has great manners, aside from a little bark here and there but that’s okay 😅, she’s incredibly brave during all of our traveling (including flight to Europe and road trip from NC to California!) and she’s enjoying every adventure! I believe most of her wonderful behavior is thanks to the breeders and the amazing job they are doing socializing the puppies! That’s the work that can’t be replaced by anything you’ll do with the puppy when it’ll be already at home with you.

Loving Ziggy while waiting… While waiting for a reserved female puppy late this summer, Jonathan and Ashley “fostered” a 2 years old male Maltese and put him out to the world for a new forever home. Beautiful Wilma had a rare 4 male litter…and we put our heads around adopting the 2 year old plus one of the male pups. Solution! Wonderful decision for Ziggy (2 year old) and Zumi (now 10 weeks old). Ziggy is a happy Maltese, and Zumi has a full time brother now training him to be a good happy dog! Both are super dogs in all ways. And wonderful decision for us, having had 2 females (Maltese) simultaneously over 24 years. Jonathan and Ashley are breeders of top quality Maltese (genetics) and take great efforts in being transparent with their breeding, communications, honesty, availability, business, and availability before deposit, after deposit, during ‘the new born maturing’ wait period, and excellent personal touches + guidance at puppy pick-up. Great weekly pictures/weight gain of Zumi through his early growth. And this wonderful family gave love and daily care, calling him ‘Zumi’ at every opportunity plus human touch. We highly recommend this breeder. 5-star in every way.

[Jonathan] is very friendly breeder that we ever think of and so patient to answer all our enquires and updating about Kash weekly with cute pictures. I lost my 14 yr old Teacup Pomeranian a few months ago so I was looking for another small dog. I spoke with several other “Breeders” and decided they were not for me. They were “3rd party” breeders that did not even have the puppy I was interested in on site. I asked about genetic testing on parents and was told that it was not necessary…….I know that is NOT correct. Genetic testing is very important to rule out a vast amount of issues. I went to Mollie’s Maltese FaceBook page and saw the cutest little boy ever. I sent a message and within minutes I got a phone call from Jonathan. Jonathan and I had a 45 minute conversation in which I learned a great deal about him and his family. I wanted him to also know about our home and us. After that phone call I made the deposit needed and with my slow internet in the mountains I had a difficult time getting the paperwork completed….Jonathan understood and helped send it a different way so I could completely reserve my baby. I received numerous updates, photos, and videos on Marv, now known as Gucci. Pickup procedure was well thought out and went smoothly…..After all is said and done, Gucci is perfect! He knows his name, comes when called, is at least 75% potty trained and so healthy. Please keep in mind that he knew this when I picked him up! Mollie, Ashley and Jonathan have socialized him so he is perfect! When I spoke to Jonathan I told him that I carry my puppy like a baby…..So….Mollie started training Gucci to allow this. Wow! My husband and I would highly recommend this breeder/family for anyone.

I was very skeptical about purchasing a puppy from a breeder because everyone I know spoke badly about it. However, it was just my luck, when I took a peek online, Mollie’s had a pup available and ready to go. When I contacted them, Jonathan worked diligently with me to understand the process, he explained the dog’s lineage, health records and more. We’ve had our pup for nearing three months and he’s doing very well, due to his initial care at birth. Buddy (my pup) keeps me on my toes and is such a joy to be part of our family. Even though Buddy’s been with me for a few months, Jonathan is still available for guidance, when needed, and checks on Buddy often. I fully recommend Mollie’s as a breeder of quality well raised dogs!!

I had a Maltese many years ago, and was missing the lovable companionship that Maltese bring to any family. I searched many breeders online, only to find that if I was able to actually speak to someone live, it was typically a representative from a call center. I stumbled across Mollie’s Maltese on Facebook, sent a message, and Jonathan got back to me right away. Luckily a litter of 3 had been born a few days prior and there was one little girl still left. And I do say lucky, as most Maltese go very quick! For 8 weeks, Jonathan and Ashley communicated with me weekly, both by email and FaceTime, and even more if I ever had additional questions. I cannot say ENOUGH about how well they socialized my little Molly, and what good care they take of all there pups. This never felt like a transactional relationship, but rather an integration into the family. I picked up Molly at 8.5 weeks and she was stunning, even more than I could imagine from some of the pics and videos they sent. We’ve spent the past 2.5 weeks getting acclimated, and Jonathan and Ashley still check in regularly to see how well Molly is doing, which she is. It’s only been 2.5 weeks, but I can’t even remember life before her. I wholeheartedly recommend and endorse Mollie’s Maltese for anyone in search of a healthy, well-socialized purebred Maltese with a personalized touch to ensure a proper transition!
